This agreement has been between the College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences and their counterpart at Jinan. Both faculty and students from SVSU have visited Jinan, which in turn sends guest scholars to SVSU for academic years.
India The University of Mysore March 8, 1993 As of January 2002 roughly 8 SVSU faculty have visited Mysore and presented papers and met with colleagues. We have hosted 5 faculty and staff from Mysore. No students have been exchanged.
SVSU faculty are eligible to go for two weeks during the fall or winter.
India T. A. Pai Management Institute January 9, 1996 This was developed as a program to bring students from India to complete an international certificate following an Indian MBA. This is currently inactive and unlikely to return to active status.
India Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha (BVVS) 2001 This exchange began between BVVS and SVSU's College of Education shich has sent several faculty, dean, and associate dean to visit BVVS in India. BVVS has also sent representatives to SVSU and will have a faculty person at SVSU for the Fall 2006 semester. The exchange now involves SVSU's College of Science, Engineering and Technology and BVVS's College of Science.
Japan
Shikoku University December 1, 1986 SVSU's first agreement and our most active partner. Students and faculty are regularly exchanged. Over 10 SVSU faculty have taught at Shikoku University and over 100 Shikoku students have studied at SVSU.
SVSU faculty are eligible to go during the summer.
Japan Kansai Gaidai University March 25, 1989 This is a student exchange that allows SVSU students interested in Japan to study in a wide range of courses offered in English. 10-15 students have gone both directions under this ongoing exchange.
Japan Tenri University 1990 Students from Tenri University have studied at SVSU in the past, both short-term summer programs and some students for a full year. This has not had recent participation and is not a program SVSU has been promoting.
Korea Kyung Hee University February 20, 1995 This exchange was dormant for sometime, but recently we have had one student per year from Kyung Hee. They offer some programs in English for American students, but we have only had one student study in Korea.
Russia Novgorod State University December 19, 2000 We hosted a guest faculty (Stas POPOV) in Winter 2001 from Novgorod. He initiated this relationship, but nothing has come of it.
Taiwan Shih Hsin University February 7, 2000 The Roberts fellows have stopped at this University. We had one of their faculty as a guest during Fall 2001.
Turkey The Middle East Technical University September, 1992 This exchange is housed in Science, Engineering & Technology and has resulted in some faculty and student exchange. It is still active, but has had limited activity.
