Off-Campus Library Services
These services are provided to those students enrolled and taking classes at off campus sites such as SVSU Regional Education Centers- Macomb, Oakland, Port Huron and other sites conducting SVSU classes (Cass City, etc.).

Accessing Library Resources

Online access
- All SVSU faculty, staff and students are registered on our Library CardCat system prior to each semester. This permits immediate access to all Library resources including online database, some of which include full-text articles, and interlibrary loan (ILLiad)
- As part of the SVSU registration process you will be given an initial username and password that apply to all Library resources as well.

Getting books and articles
- Use ILLiad to request materials that are not online and track the status of your orders online. Books are delivered to home or work free of charge.Download articles requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) free of charge. Articles usually arrive within two days to two weeks.

Renewing Books
- When renewing books borrowed from the SVSU Zahnow Library, please renew online using CardCat or call the Circulation Department (989.964.4240) at least 3 days before the books are due.
- When renewing ILL books borrowed from other libraries, please renew online using ILLiad or call the Circulation Department (989.964.4240) at least 3 days before the books are due.

- The Off Campus Library Services Vspace Project site compiles library resources for students enrolled in SVSU courses at Off Campus sites or those taking classes in an online/hybrid course. If offers an additonal online site to group research resources, add announcements, offer chat and other online assistance services. To join the OCLS Vspace Project
- Login to Vspace (https://vspace.svsu.edu/portal/)
- Click "membership" from the left panel of options.
- Click "joinable" sites and do a search for "library services".
- Click the "join" link to add the OCLS Project to your list of Vspace projects.
- At future Vspace logins, click "Project" to access the OCLS Vspace site.
