Finding Articles

Using Online Databases

Locating Journals

Online

Using the ONLINE JOURNALS link located on the left menu of the library homepage, enter the title of the journal or a word in the journal title. Select either the "starts with" or "contains" option on the search screen and click GO. A drop down screen may appear with a number of selections--if your title appears in this box, select it. Otherwise, simply hit Enter on your keyboard. If your title is online, you will see the databases that index that title, along with the coverage of the title. To view it, click on one of the databases offered or simply click on the title and you should be taken to a publisher or database page where you can further revise your search.

Print/Microfilm

Using the Print/Microfilm Journals option on CARDCAT, enter the journal title. If the journal is in print or microfilm format, the volumes and years available will be displayed. The print/microfilm collection is located on the library's second floor. If the library does not subscribe to a periodical, use the ILLIAD service to request the article.
