"Inability of the Rarely Missed Index to Identify Simulated Malingering Under More Realistic Assessment Conditions." Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology 30.1 (2008): 120-126.

Two studies were conducted to assess the ability of the Rarely Missed Index (RMI) of the Wechsler Memory Scale-III to detect malingering. Subjects included undergraduate students, analog malingerers, and actual patients. Analysis of the data failed to reveal the item-response biases that had been reported in previous research. Analyses also failed to show that the RMI can be used to identify simulated malingerers.
