Relay for Life: Our students – along with a number of you – are busy preparing for our annual Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. “Battle of the Valleys” Basketball Edition: Our women’s and men’s basketball teams host Grand Valley tomorrow at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively. Both teams swept Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech last weekend. I know they would appreciate seeing us in the stands.
Few decisions we make generate as much reaction as the decision on whether or not to cancel classes. Usually it is a matter of whether we can clear snow from the parking lots and roadways to allow for safe passage. This past Tuesday’s cancellation was dictated by temperature conditions we determined to be unsafe. With several weeks of winter still ahead, rest assured we will do our best to exercise sound judgment for all parties concerned, knowing that no decision in this regard will please everyone.
