Your student will need to know of one or more services the Cashier’s Office provides. Payments for student tuition, housing and other miscellaneous charges are handled by this Office. The Cashier's Office accepts payment by cash, check, or money order. Payments can be made by credit card through Cardinal Direct (payment is processed by a third party vendor, CashNet®. CashNet® accepts American Express, Discover and MasterCard; however, VISA is not accepted. CashNet® assesses a 2.9% service charge on the total amount of the credit card transaction.
Students living on campus may cash personal checks up to $50. Important payment deadlines are posted on Cardinal Direct, http://cardinaldirect.svsu.edu/.

Maneuvering through the sometimes complicated world of financial aid and scholarship is a process that you need not do alone.
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid administers a variety of financial aid programs that include scholarships, grants and loans. Remember, students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 to identify financial need for full consideration of financial assistance, including loans. Information regarding scholarships is available in the Office.
