Gave me class notes

3

It did not.

4

It did not.

5

Help in note taking process. I could follow and pay attentions to the professor more than trying to take notes.

6

It did not.

7

Yes.

8

I just got notes for my class of it.

9

It didn't help out all we did was print off notes for class.

10

External links to pertinent sets helped me to accomplish homework it is easy to access assignments.

11

It helped me develop a better understanding of the class notes.

13

It was easy to get notes off Blackboard saved me from writing them down.

14

I got class notes from Blackboard.

15

It really did not it was more a pain than anything.

16

I printed off the lecture notes for my class.

17

I did not have to write the information myself--class notes.

18

Assignments.

20

Blackboard has not assisted me at all. It made my grade worse because I did not have much time to get on.

21

It gave me the chance to download my notes so that I would have them for class.

22

Whenever U needed a worksheet or other class documents I could always log one to Blackboard and get in any time day or night. It helped me prepare for quizzes and fine online materials.

23

It helped get feedback from peers about our assignments through the group discussion/forum.

24

It was helpful because I could always sign on at home to obtain information that was discussed in class.

25

I liked how you could use Blackboard for a way of communication through your class without talking face to face

26

I never had to worry about loosing an assignment sheet because all I had to do was log into Blackboard and get it there.

27

With Blackboard I could easily email those in class with any questions that I had. We could also easily post any writing we did. We could look up what the announcements or descriptions of the assignments were.

28

Blackboard helped my writing abilities when comparing to other students. It helped me become a more confident writer.

29

If I didn't understand what the professor was talking about I could get on Blackboard and figure it out.

30

It helped me to communicate with the other students in my class. We were able to post all of our essays online so all I had to do was post my essay and the rest of the class would tell me what they thought.

31

Blackboard helped me to complete assignments that I had questions on but I could not contact my professor. I used it to find out when things were due and to communicate with classmates.

32

In our English class we used Blackboard for almost everything. We had the papers we had written on Blackboard had class assignments to name a few.

33

I didn't really 'learn' anything that will help me out in life. The only reason I was on Blackboard was because we had to be. I would have rather had class off Blackboard because it was an inconvenience for me.

35

Blackboard gave me a base program. It was nice to always have something to look at if I needed it.

36

It helped in that there was not a lot of papers to carry --you could log on and get your information. It was always up to date so we could get assignments whenever needed.

37

I don't know if it really helped at all but I think it might of by allowing us to look up our assignments when we were not in class.

38

If I forgot an assignment I could always go to class assignments. Plus if I did not know what to write about something then I would go to Discussion board and see what others wrote about.

39

My group members and I shared our ideas on our own topic papers and we also came together as group and helped each other on our papers.

40

I tend to learn and remember more when I work on the computer so it helped me learn more on the B.

41

I think Blackboard is great. My undergrad degree is from Baker College and I took a lot of online classes, which are provided by B. I loved the classes online and love B. Maybe soon SVSU will offer courses.

42

It was useful for knowing the happenings in the class day to day though the discussion boards. Could get the necessary documents whenever wanted.

43

I used it as a search engine sometimes.

44

Blackboard provided me all material to be done at class. It is very good tool that all classes could use.

45

It was very helpful to solve cases contact the instructor and classmates projects and presentations.

46

Down loaded assignments from here.

47

I always loose my syllabus so Blackboard was very helpful.

48

I do not have to waste my time going to the library looking for professor's assigned resources. Group working does not require to meet each other. I like it. I can review my performance based on online grade book feature.

49

N/A.

50

I would get some up-dated information about class with Blackboard such as changed class schedule grades and so on.

53

Another form of communication. Way to post your grade

54

Made updates quickly available.

55

It was a new way to learn. I enjoyed the challenge. I loved getting feedback from my friends and professors so quickly. The discussion board was great!

56

Blackboard allowed for an exchange of ideas form work or home giving me more free time.

57

Nice way to share with students.

59

It allowed us to read what each o6ther was thinking and go back if needed.

60

We were able to communicate with other students and discuss different situations by using B.

61

Discussion board and online film were fun and useful.

62

Allowed easy access to updated assignments/announcements.

63

It helped me find good links for class and allowed me a quick means of communication with professor.

64

Blackboard assisted my learning technology more than my course work done through Blackboard. It was effective in reducing time and travel to accomplish the course work.

65

This instance I did not.

68

It didn't it was an extra thing. Made things easier.

69

I was able to become familiar and comfortable with technology. I was able to access my progress with online grade book.

70

It was nice to have a way to easily communicate with other members of our small group. The external links the teachers posted were good.

71

Became more proficient in using another method of communication.

72

It just helped me be a little more computer literate.

73

It assisted me through links to websites that I related to our topics. Otherwise our instructor did not put much on it to assist in learning needs.

74

None.

75

I could go there with my questions I had.

76

The external links tool was helpful.

77

It enabled me to talk with students while outside of class and on and on a more impersonal level. I was able to work in a cooperative way without being in a classroom.

78

I was able to attach my assignments and send them with ease. I had continual access to the professor.

79

Because I live an hour from SVSU-- Blackboard allowed me access to my instructor and I was able to turn in assignments without having to drive to campus.

81

Besides discussion in class we could discuss on the computer and be linked in that way. I used the course documents/assignments to check out and print our assignments. I used this the most.

82

There was nothing in this class that I thought Blackboard did for me. To me if was more of a hassle than anything at all. Blackboard made me hesitate to get my work done at times because it was very time consuming.

83

It was great to have access to external links for this course. It was also nice to have the announcements on there to keep students to date on projects--papers and generally what was due in class.

85

Being able to connect to external links as well as receive announcements through Blackboard was very helpful.

86

I liked the fact that all information was accessible 24 hours a day. Also that all email were included so none had to be memorized. I thought it made the class easier and more organized. I hope I have more classes with it.

88

Got inputs from other classmates.

89

Blackboard has increased my learning experience by providing me with more computer use, which helped me become more computer literate of other programs on the internet.

2

Nothing.

3

It was not always up and running.

4

Could not print slides because I don't have the same programs.

6

Getting the material for class. Some weeks it did not work.

7

Hello.

8

It took a long time to download the notes sometimes.

9

I t was down a lot and when it did work it was slow.

10

None.

11

It rejected my password sometimes. I did not like that one bit.

12

Once I downloaded it at home it would not let me open the files.

13

It cost me money to get paper to print all notes.

14

Did not have any.

15

When it wouldn't work correctly I couldn't get notes.

16

It was pretty easy to use although I did not use it much because I was not required to.

17

Nothing.

18

None

19

I had trouble printing off or downloading documents since I only had window 95.

20

Finding time to get on to B.

21

I did not know how to use it at first I could not download notes on power point.

22

Only a couple of times I had trouble getting into certain notes. I could not keep going into access old notes or links if I'm not in that class so I heard.

23

I really had no problems.

25

Nothing was difficult for me. I enjoyed using it.

26

It is on the computer over the internet. I wasn't always able to access the internet.

27

No I just thought that it was weird how he had us send each other messages using Blackboard when we were sitting right next to that person.

28

Only used Blackboard for writing nothing else.

29

If I was trying to look up specific information I did not know exactly where to look. The information could have been in a lot of different places.

30

Nothing really. The only drawback was online connecting that is always difficult.

31

Not being able to get connected to SVSU was definitely a drawback.

32

There were really no drawbacks I really liked this program and found it very easy to use.

33

Nothing was really difficult. I just understood why our teacher made us post our essay on it so everyone else could read them.

34

Knowing where to look to find certain things too many links.

35

Sometimes if an explanation of an assignment was confusing you couldn't just ask questions to the computer.

36

Finding what folder the particular professor put things in.

38

None.

39

Some drawbacks are that it does not have instant messenger. The Blackboard service should come up with an instant message program so students can talk over the computer to each other about projects and ideas rather than relying on email.

41

None.

43

Logging on was the biggest problem. Sometimes it would not come up.

45

N/A.

46

Did not have any problems.

47

Assignments could be automatically to diary and Blackboard could automatically notify me when I have to start o do assignments. Not all professors use all features of B.

48

I have not found any drawback. If I find one I will tell you.

49

N/A.

50

Sometimes it did not work. I mean in this semester. I could not access the program three times.

53

None.

54

None.

55

My password /name was not logged on. I had to do 90% of my assignments under as friend's name.

56

Technology can often be overwhelming but it was easy to overcome and on the whole was not difficult.

57

Nothing.

59

Initial log in.

60

None it was great!

61

Tedious getting from area to area. Seemed to be down a lot.

62

Could not save an assignments or discussion without submitting it to the system.

63

Moving around on the different menu options was difficult on occasion--but other than that it was very user friendly.

64

Remembering which internal links took me to what information. I did not fully understand how to use every aspect such as digital drop book but I seemed to bet along without it. I'd like to have training in it.

65

None.

68

None except virtual classroom screwed up system.

69

Took away from person to person contact.

71

Knowing for sure the digital drop box had in fact submitted my paper--but only the 1st and 2nd times I used it was comfortable with it after that.

72

It was difficult to use the digital drop box. I never completely mastered it, which hindered my grade in class because I could not use it to turn in assignments. Many students in my class had such trouble.

73

Nothing.

74

Online discussion groups.

75

I was not always sure where to go for thing. Sometimes I had to go to a few links to find what I needed.

77

I would have liked access to an area that the instructor could not see. This can make discussion more interesting. The digital drop box was at times hard to use.

78

I did not really care for virtual chat or our online group talks-- I would rather talk to other people.

79

I think there should be a handout that comes with Blackboard explaining everything it has to offer and a step-by-step guide to each feature.

80

Re-reading discussion threads--it was difficult to move to previous comments but moving forward to comments ahead was easier.

81

I did not use Blackboard as much as I could or should have but I had some trouble figuring out how to take my papers and out them in the digital drop box.

82

For the most part the digital drop box was more difficult for me. The instructors were not well understood and when I asked for help I receive little. This course took more outside time than that of which was already required. It was a hassle and quite frankly a waste of time that I have a little of.

83

Sometimes off campus I would have trouble logging on. Not all the time just on a few occasions. This problem may have been with my cable hook up. I'm not sure. I would have to log on and off 3-4 times to finally get on a good connection where I could access everything on Blackboard.

84

When the professor doesn't keep it updated. My sister attends SVSU and she had the opportunity to check her grades. Last year it was hard to know where you stand in class for some reason you needed a good reason to know your grades like for sports--etc. Otherwise you did not know. I checked my grade a few times and a few of my grades have been posted but not all. I know that you cannot control this. But it is helpful when the teacher updated and posts the grades otherwise. I really would not use it. But I think that the ability to see your grade is great. If only all professors listed the grades for you.

85

At first figuring out how to use the digital drop box was somewhat a confusing for me. I don't have that much experience with computers. Once I figured it out it was easy.

86

Once my paper was bounced back and did not reach my instructor the connection was lost or something. But it was when all computers were worked on.

88

Learning how to use the drop box.

89

One of the things that was difficult for me at first was using the digital drop box.
