Orientation Programs at SVSU

The Orientation Programs at Saginaw Valley State University are designed to promote academic success and individual growth. During orientation you will have the opportunity to meet other students, take necessary placement tests, attend presentations regarding various programs and services, and receive advising and assistance in course registration.

  • Freshmen

    Student Registration at Orientation

    Student Orientation Advising & Registration (SOAR) is for students enrolling in college for the first time. This is the first of your three-phase freshmen orientation.

  • Transfer

    Student at Transfer Orientation Program

    The Transfer Orientation Program (TOP) is for all new transfer students enrolling at SVSU with prior college credits.
