6.2-2 REFUND FOR CHANGE IN EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Policy

SVSU cannot refund tuition on the basis of change in employment status.

Rationale

A student who accepts new employment which conflicts with SVSU course enrollment must weigh the benefit of that employment against the loss of the educational program and tuition.

A student may wish to contact his/her employer for compensation if the employer is responsible for requiring a change in course enrollment after the existing refund deadline.

The University's cost for providing instruction is not reduced when a student withdraws.
