Welcome!
Why live on campus?
Living on campus at SVSU is not required for students who enroll in classes. Each year, however, the housing facilities are assigned to their maximum occupancy! Freshmen and upperclass students agree that life on campus is a great living option.
In Fall 2008, SVSU housed 2468 resident students. Of that number over 1,100 were freshmen living in First Year Suites, Living Center North and Living Center South. The remaining 1300+ upperclass students resided in UV East, West and Pine Grove Apartments.
Students choose to live on campus for some of the following reasons:
- convenience to classes and academic resources
- the appeal of SVSU's unique and state of the art housing facilites
- access to involvement in student and residential life activities and programs
- quality of on-campus experience ... SVSU has a regionally recognized University Residence Association and many individually decorated student leaders!
