SV Red & White Award

Largest international scholarship available


The SV Red & White Award is awarded to international undergraduate and graduate students based on GPA and entrance exam scores. International undergraduate students receiving the SV Red & White Award will be given the equivalent of approximately $50,000 (based on 140 undergraduate course credits) in tuition discounts and graduates students will be given the equivalent of approximately $13,000 (based on 30 graduate course credits) in tuition discounts.  No formal application is required.

President’s International Scholarship

$1,000 per year


The President's International Scholarship is awarded for up to $1,000 per year for international undergraduate and graduate students. It is a competitive scholarship awarded to students who have achieved a high level of academic success. No formal application is required.

  • 1100 SAT

SVSU YES Alumni Scholarship

$1,500 per year


The SVSU YES Alumni Scholarship is awarded to international undergraduate and graduate students in recognition of exemplary academic achievement and participation in The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program. The SVSU YES Alumni Scholarship is a renewable award of $1,500 per year throughout your studies at SVSU. No formal application is required.

GAC Pathway Scholarship

$2,000 one-time scholarship


The GAC Pathway Scholarship is awarded to students who have successfully completed the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) Program at a recognized GAC center anywhere in the world. No formal application is required.

Freshmen Scholarships


President's
Award

100% TUITION AND REQUIRED FEES


This is the university’s most prestigious award. To be considered, qualified scholars complete a written essay at a required scholarship compe-
tition. Final selection of recipients is made in February. To compete, you must have one of the following:

  • 3.9+ GPA with 1270 SAT/28+ ACT (or)
  • 1350+ SAT/30+ ACT with minimum 3.00 GPA (or) 
  • Ranked #1 or #2 in class with minimum 3.00 GPA

Founder's
Award

$5,000 EVERY YEAR FOR 4 YEARS


The Founder’s Award is automatically awarded based on your academic achievement in high school. SVSU recognizes your perseverance and drive. Reach out to our admissions reps at any time if you have a question about your academic standing.

  • 3.6+ GPA with 1200+SAT/26+ ACT

Dean's
Award

$4,000 EVERY YEAR FOR 4 YEARS


The Dean’s Award is automatically awarded based on your academic achieve-
ment in high school. At SVSU, we care about making the financial aid easy to under-

Cardinal
Award

$3,000 EVERY YEAR FOR 4 YEARS


The Cardinal Award is automatically awarded based on your academic achieve-
ment in high school. Cardinals welcome students from all flocks of life—and with every Cardinal, we offer financial support in recognition of academic effort. Reach out to our admissions reps at any time if you have a question about your academic standing.

  • 3.00+ GPA with 1060+ SAT or 22+ ACT

University
Award

$2,000 EVERY YEAR FOR 4 YEARS


The University Award is a brand-new scholarship for SVSU students, automatically awarded based on your academic achievement in high school. Reach out to our admissions reps at any time if you have a question about your academic standing.

  • 3.70+ GPA regardless of test score 
  • 3.00+ GPA with 900+ SAT or 18+ ACT
