Once you Arrive
Students who paid their housing deposit in advance and made flight arrangements with Ms. Debra Martin dmar(at)svsu.edu will be picked up at the MBS International Airport by a SVSU student representative and brought to the Office of International Programs, where we will welcome you and check you in as a new student and bring you to your on-campus student housing.
Prior to the start of classes, all international students will attend a three-day international student orientation program which will include the following:
- Placement testing
- Office of International Programs and English Language Programs staff introductions.
- Health Services orientation
- Student Registration
- Shopping tours
- Banking
- Policies and proceedures
- Host Family information
- Campus technology and e-mail services
- Campus activities and events
- Information about local resources and points of interest
