* These costs are for two semesters, which is an academic year or 8 months. It is possible to complete 3 semesters each year, but it is only necessary (by immigration law) to study 2 semesters per year. If you wish to study during spring/summer as well, the cost would be roughly an additional $8,000.

** The estimated tuition costs are based on 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students, 12 credit hours per semester for ESL, and 9 credits per semester for graduate students.

*** This cost is based on the on-campus housing in an apartment with a private bedroom. Other options are available for on-campus housing.

Tuition Payment

Tuition, housing and health insurance payments are due to SVSU in full upon arrival and registration. You must be prepared to pay 50% of the amount on your I-20 when you arrive at SVSU. We recommend you bring a check, bank draft or traveler's checks payable to SVSU. You may also wire money to SVSU. Credit card payments may be made by Mastercard, Discover or American Express, but are subject to a 2.9% fee.
