Financial Resources Available for Nursing
The following financial resources are available to students enrolled in the undergraduate nursing program. Generally, awards are determined by the Dean's and/or Financial Aid Office in May/June for the following year; depending on resource availability, exception may be made to accomodate new student admission dates. For achievement based resources, students my indicate on the applicaiton more than one resource for which they are eligible and wish to be considered. Also, for achievement based resources, although need is not a critierion for determining award, a student's financial package is reviewed; therefore, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in the Financial Aid Office is recommended.
NURSING SCHOLARSHIP FORM - Form is filled out and submitted by April 15th each year for financial assistance the following fall and/or winter. Students must be admitted to the nursing program to apply for nursing scholarships. Students eligible for scholarships are all undergrad BSN nursing students, RN to BSN/MSN and graduate students.

Although full time student status is preferred, an award for part-time study is possible. Awards generally vary from approximately $500 to $3,000 and are renewable providing University standards for achievement are met; however, renewal is not automatic, so requires a new application annually. Need is determined primarily by federal standards; therefore, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form from the Financial Aid Office must be completed in addition to the application.
