| SVSU Greenhouse Hosts Earth Day Event |
| Saginaw Valley State University will host an Earth Day celebration Wednesday, April 22 from noon to 6 p.m. at the SVSU Greenhouse, 7525 Michigan Road, east of the main SVSU campus. Last year, around 100 people enjoyed the free event and more visitors are expected this year. The SVSU Greenhouse will be showcasing “green” sustainable projects such as hydroponics, aeroponics, a solar oven and vermiculture. These will be displayed along with exhibits from around the region. Visitors will be able to view the displays, ask questions and learn how they can implement the environmentally friendly practices in their own lives. During the Earth Day event, there will be a cook out for everyone to enjoy along with games, tours and prizes. For more information, contact Susan J.
