P.A.S.S. MENTORING PROGRAM
(Plan of Action for Student Success)
The P.A.S.S. Mentoring Program, sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Services, is a support system put in place to assist first-time college students in their transition to Saginaw Valley State University and to offer guidance as they begin to define their goals and strive for academic excellence. Mentees will be given the chance to enhance their college experience through one-on-one interaction with their upperclassmen mentors, networking and volunteer opportunities, as well as cultural, social, and academic programs.
Mission Statement
The Plan of Action for Student Success (P.A.S.S.) Mentoring Program is designed to aid first time in college (FTIC) students from diverse backgrounds with making a smooth transition to SVSU, by pairing them with responsible and dedicated P.A.S.S. leaders, who will provide them with the support and guidance necessary for them to be academically sound students.
