Mission Statement
Minority Student Services strives to:
- assist minority students in adapting to and succeeding in "college life" here at SVSU.
- work closely with departments, organizations, faculty and staff to help develop a culturally diverse campus.
- enhance minority student retention and help the continued growth efforts in minority student enrollment levels through a series of academic and personal support programs.
Services
The Office of Minority Student Services provides comprehensive services for minority students.
These services include:
· Providing counseling, advising and tutoring
· Encouraging students to use campus resources
· Facilitating the development of minority students through educational programs and activities
· Supporting all on-campus cultural student organizations
· Serving as an information resource to the college campus and community
