The Michigan Society of Certified Public Mangers® (MSCPM)is a statewide organization whose primary purpose is to unite Michigan Certified Public Managers®, to encourage the acceptance of management in government as a profession established by an underlying body of knowledge to promote high professional, educational and ethical standards in public management; to improve communication, cooperation and coordination among public entities; to foster leadership through vision, competence, and innovation; and to facilitate positive changes which enhance the delivery of public service.

Why MCPM?
MCPM Alumni and MCPM students are encouraged to join the Michigan Society of Certified Public Managers. Your membership and contribution will help us to build a strong foundation of leadership for the State of Michigan. Benefits of Membership in the Society are:

• Networking opportunities with other leaders involved in various levels of government management
• Regularly scheduled membership meetings with informative speakers on topics important to today’s managers
• Leadership opportunities within the organization for personal growth and leadership development

Types of Membership

Academy Fellow/Charter Member:  Any person having a valid certification as a public manager, issued by any program accredited by the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium shall have all privileges of active membership (which includes the ability to vote and serve on the MSCPM Board). $70 per year

Associate Membership:  Any person currently enrolled in any accredited Public Manager program.  Associates receive all the privileges of active membership except holding executive office.  $50 per year

Affiliate Membership: Any faculty member or administrator in Public Management or related fields.  Affiliates hold all the privileges of active membership, except holding executive office.   $50 per year
