Sponsorships
One of the great ways to support the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is to be a program or event sponsor. Sponsorships are essential to every nonprofit organization, and the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum has many such opportunities. Every sponsor receives special recognition in printed materials, in press releases, and on the museum's web site. Here are some of the programs and events you can sponsor.
Regional Biennial Juried Sculpture Exhibition Merit Award and Purchase Award Sponsor
The Regional Biennial Juried Sculpture Exhibition is held every two years at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, the next being in 2010. Click Here to read more about the first Regional Biennial Juried Sculpture Exhibition in 2008, and the Merit Award Sponsor levels and the Purchase Award Sponsor opportunities.
Title Sponsor
Annually, the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum brings three exhibitions by well-known Michigan, national and international artists to its galleries. Title sponsors are essential because they underwrite the cost of the exhibit. The names of sponsors of $2,500 or more are boldly displayed on the gallery wall for the exhibition's duration. Click Here to see videos of some of the museum's most recent exhibitions. A title sponsor can be $2,500 to $20,000.
Saints and Sinners Gala Benefit
The museum annually hosts one of the BEST events in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Saints, Sinners and Sinatra is the theme for the 2009 gala benefit. If you are a Frank Sinatra fan, savor fine cuisine and wine, enjoy a good art auction, and like being with interesting and exciting people, you will love this event. The 2008 Saints, Sinners and Sauvignon gala benefit raised $36,000 in sponsorships ranging from $500 to $15,000. All proceeds from this event support the museum's educational and exhibition programs. Transportation Subsidies
You would be astounded to know how many teachers can't take their students on field trips because it cost too much. The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is able to provide transportation subsidies to schools, thanks to generous sponsorship funds. The number of students who come to the museum on field trips has increased since we began the transportation subsidy program. A $1,500 sponsorship makes it possible for us to subsidize 20 trips, or 400 students to the museum. That's a HUGE return on your investment in a child's education.
Summer Art Camps
Did you ever go to summer camp? If you did, you know how rewarding it can be. Kids who attend summer art camp at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum have the best teachers (SVSU art education majors) and have the opportunity to create sculptures with modeling compound, plaster sand-cast faces, African paper Mache masks, tetrahedron kites and their own T-shirt design with three-dimensional paints. Click Here to read about and see photographs of the 2008 summer art camp.
