October 14, 2005 to April 30, 2006

The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum will host the opening reception of Nature Transformed: Wood Art from the Bohlen Collection with a joyous celebration of the Museum's first annual fund-raising event entitled "Saints, Sinners and Salsa" on Friday evening, October 14, 2005, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This fun-filled celebration of the region's cultural diversity includes music, dance, authentic dishes and a silent auction of Michigan artists.

Nature Transformed: Wood Art from the Bohlen Collection is organized and circulated by the University of Michigan Museum of Art. This exhibition has been made possible by foundation and individual sponsors who wish to remain anonymous and the Friends of the Museum of Art, on display from October 14, 2005 to April 30, 2006. The exhibit offers a comprehensive look at the unique contemporary fine art medium of wood. This significant collection features many different types of techniques, finishes and woods, all envisioned to amuse, astound, and inspire.
