Education

The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum offers several educational opportunities such as our wonderful school tours, summer art camps, artist lectures and many more.

Comments from school tour visitors:

My favorite piece at the Museum was the 28 foot Christ sculpture. It was probably one of the most inspirational pieces of art that I have ever seen. - 10th grade student

Specifically I like how the cast of the bronze shows the detail of tool and finger marks. It kind of gives it a homemade look that I thought was very interesting and better looking. - 10th grade student

When I heard that we were going to an art museum I thought that it was going to be boring and terrible. I thought that I was not going to have fun and be like just another school field trip but I was wrong. The Museum was very interesting and fun! The tour guides were very good and explained everything very well. They made the field trip fun and taught us a lot. - 11th grade student

I thought the art project we did at the end of the field trip was very fun. I liked creating something of my own after seeing all of Marshall Fredericks' wonderful creations. It wasn't hard but it was challenging enough for it to be an enjoyable thing to make. - 11th grade student
