Instructional Facilities

Pioneer Hall houses the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments. In August 2007, a $16 million expansion and renovation of Pioneer Hall was completed. Instruction in the ME department is supported by seventeen modern laboratories. These labs house the equipment and infrastructure to support teaching, student projects, and research. Most of the labs are on the first floor of Pioneer. Faculty offices, classrooms, and dedicated computer labs are located on the second floor. In addition to the computer resources located in Pioneer Hall, engineering students have access to computer labs and high speed Internet connectivity in several locations on campus. Currently, the university is working on expanding wireless networking across campus.
