SOLVE II: Enhancing Student Learning - Summer 2002
This five day science workshop is designed for teachers of grades K-4 and 5-8. Workshop participants will examine many of the exciting new trends in science teaching. Topics covered include:
- unit planning
- constructivist teaching
- assessment
- equity
- classroom management techniques
- science material sources
All activities are built around specific hands-on/minds-on teaching units which will be shared with participants.
This workshop is targeted for teachers who have taken Project SOLVE* and who are now looking at some of the critical issues surrounding science education today.
*Past participation in Project SOLVE is not required, only suggested.
