| Brief Description of Facility | The Bay County Historical Society has been preserving the unique and rich history of Bay County, Michigan, since 1919. Housed at present in the former armory, an historical building, at 321 Washington Avenue, Bay City, the Society holds extensive archives and artifacts some of these date back to the Pioneer Society organized in the 1870s, which preserved information about the settlement of the area. The Pioneer Society became inactive as the original pioneer members died in the late 1800s. |
