Setting up MPRC Scheduling on V - Space

To be able to schedule private tutoring appointments on line, each student needs to set up his/her MPRC scheduling tab on their V-Space. The following is a procedure highlighting the steps to be followed.

  1. Log on to your V-Space account.
  2. Select the ‘’WORKSPACE TAB’’ located at the top left corner of your screen.
  3. On the left hand side where the links are present, click on the “MEMBERSHIP’’ tab.
  4. Click on “JOINABLE SITES’’.
  5. Under the list of joinable sites find the one entitled “MPRC SCHEDULING’’.
  6. Click on MPRC SCHEDULING and then click join.

At this point you need to “REFRESH” your page. You will notice that a new tab has been added to your V-Space called MPRC SCHEDULING. This tab is the one that allows you in the future to make appointments for private tutoring.

Making an appointment

  1. Log on to your V-Space account.
  2. Click on your tab labeled “MPRC SCHEDULING’’.
  3. On the left hand side, choose the option for “MPRC PRIVATE TUTORING SIGN UP”.
  4. A list with the private tutoring hours appears from 9 am to 6 pm in time slots of half an hour (for instance 9-9:30, 9:30-10, 10:00-10:30, etc.). You can make an appointment up to 7 days in advance. However once you set up a meeting you cannot add another one unless the current meeting has taken place or has been canceled.
  5. When you choose a time slot (ex: 9-9:30) click on it and a new screen appears with comments and notes. Make sure you specify the Math/Physics class you need help with, as well as the tutor you might want to assist you.
  6. Once the comments have been entered, at the bottom left of your page click on the tab “BACK”. Your appointment has been scheduled.
  7. You can cancel it up to 2 hours prior to your meeting. After that time, it will be assumed that you are going to attend it. Please note that if you fail to appear then you will automatically be black listed for one week. Such action will prevent you for re-scheduling another appointment until the 7 day period expires.
