Spotlight on Trial Databases: ProQuest Historical Newspapers
During the months of
March and April, the SVSU community will have the opportunity to explore
a unique new online database, ProQuest Historical Newspapers, on a trial
basis.
ProQuest Historical Newspapers is the exclusive digital archive of the four leading U.S. newspapers that gives users ready access to the full cover-to-cover content of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and Christian Science Monitor, starting from their very first issues.
This premier newspaper database
represents the first initiative to not only reach back into the past to
digitize historical newspaper information but also to provide that information
as both full page images and as article images in downloadable PDF files.

Natural language searching, database segmenting, and conceptual smart searching are just a few of the features that help users find the exact information they need quickly and easily.
