More Electronic Books Added to CARDCAT Through netLibrary

More news

This past fall, 639 new electronic books were added to Zahnow Library's catalog, CARDCAT. With the addition of these new titles, there are now over 7,000 e-books available to SVSU library users. The first e-books were added in 2000 and covered many areas of interest, with the highest number of e-books in the subject areas of business and computer science.

E-books added this fall have been published in 2001 and 2002 and include titles in economics, business, sociology, literature, medicine, health, wellness, and computer science. E-books are purchased with state and federal grant money and group discounts obtained through the Michigan Library Consortium.

Adding to the uniqueness of the e-books is the availability to view and check out books off campus. To do so, first create a netLibrary account, while on campus, from the netLibrary homepage (http://www.netlibrary.com). After the account is created, you will be able to access the electronic books available through Zahnow Library from any location. Checking out an e-book gives you exclusive use of that book for a period of 6 hours.

For questions or more information, call the Reference Desk at 964-4242.
