Celebrate National Library Week, April 18th through April 24th

More news

Every year since 1958, National Library Week has been celebrated in the Unites States. With the support of the Eisenhower Administration, a coalition of publishers, booksellers, librarians and journalists came up with the idea in an attempt to encourage Americans to stay informed by reading. This year National Library Week will be celebrated Sunday, April 18th through Saturday, April 24th.

Celebrate National Library Week with the Zahnow Library staff on Monday, April 19th, between 10am and 2pm.

SVSU students, faculty and staff who stop by for a cookie or brownie and a soda will have a chance to win Barnes & Noble gift certificates, mugs, tote bags, key chains, and SVSU bookstore and campus cafe certificates.

Special thanks to Campus Dining Services, the SVSU Bookstore, and the library staff.

For more information about National Library Week, visit the American Library Association's website at: http://www.ala.org/pio/campaign/nlw/nationallibraryweek.htm.
