Zahnow Library Floor By Floor Layout
The Library has four floors. A brief overview of the layout of the Library follows:
- 1st floor contains the main entrance and main public service desks (Circulation and Reference desks), public access computers, the Z-111 open computer lab, Reference, Archives and Media collections, and offices for Access Services and Reference departments
- 2nd floor contains the concourse entrance, Periodicals service desk and collections, the Z-235 restricted computer lab, Student Technology Center, Professional and Technical Writing Center, and offices for Library Administration
- 3rd floor contains the Writing Center, the Z-302 restricted computer lab, open Café area, and the General, Popular (including audio books on CD) and Café collections
- 4th floor, our designated quiet floor, contains General and Juvenile collections, the Roberta Allen Reading Room, and offices for the Collection Development and Acquisitions department.
The Library is a campus wireless internet hotspot.
- A current SVSU network authorization (username and password) is required for access.
- See Matt Anderson at the 1st floor Circulation Desk or the 2nd floor Student Technology Center for assistance in setting up your laptop for wireless access.
