Print Periodicals Collection
The term periodicals includes journals, magazines and newspapers, and collectively are referred to as serials (although some of these terms are interchangeable).

- The Periodicals area consists of the following distinct areas:
- Current Periodicals including newspapers
- Bound Periodicals
- Microfilm Periodicals
- ERIC Documents
- Microfilm Books
- A Periodicals Help Desk is located at the 2nd floor Library entrance to assist with finding and making copies of articles and assisting users with the microfilm readers/printers. This desk can also check out books from the 3rd and 4th floor collections

Public Access Equipment
- Photocopy machines are located in a glassed in room (10 cents per page)
- Additional photocopiers are located on the 1st floor just south of the elevator
- Microfilm reader/printers are located south of the Photocopy Room (10 cents per page)
Policies
- Microfilm books may circulate out of the Library. All other collections are In Library Use Only.
Collections
- Current Periodicals and Newspapers
- Located to your right as you leave the stairs and elevator, these issues are on slanted shelving arranged alphabetically by title
- Current issue is displayed with back issues available by lifting shelf
- Newspapers are located at the start of the collection in hanging folders
- Bound Periodicals
- Located to your left as you leave the stairs and elevator, these issues are on traditional book shelving arranged alphabetically by title
- Microfilm Periodicals
- Located in cabinets between Current and Bound Periodicals, arranged alphabeticaly by title
- NOTE: some periodicals are in microfiche format and are located in a separate cabinet, also arranged alphabetically by title
- ERIC Documents
- Located in cabinets near the Bound Periodicals, these documents are in microfiche format
- They are arranged by ERIC Document serial numbers (ED xxxxx)
- Use ERIC to find the ED number for a document (use FirstSearch, CSA or Web versions of ERIC)
- Microfilm Books
- Located in cabinets to the west of the Microfilm Periodicals arranged by call number
- Use CardCat to find the call numbers for these books
