About the Melvin J. Zahnow Library
Overview
The Zahnow Library provides information resources and services to support the teaching and research needs of the students, faculty and staff of Saginaw Valley State University. Spread over four floors with entrances on the first and second floors, its collections cover a vast array of topics and a multitude of formats. Librarians work collaboratively with faculty to add new materials to the library, a process referred to as collection development. See the Collections page for a more thorough description.
Many of the materials housed in the Library may be checked out through the Circulation Desk. Finding specific items is done through our CardCat online catalog. See the Library Access page for more information on accessing our online resources from within the Library as well as by the Web.
