AOL Browser Information
If you use America Online (AOL) at home, you may not be able to access SVSU systems like VSpace, Vmail, or Cardinal Direct.
The problem lies with the proprietary AOL web browser. This problem has been noted at many Universities in the US and is not unique to SVSU. Occasionally, AOL pushes updates to their browser and it creates access problems to university resources.
To avoid this problem, you must use another browser like Internet Explorer, FireFox or Netscape Navigator. If AOL is your ISP, you can still connect to the internet with AOL, but do not use the AOL browser with SVSU servers. Minimize AOL and use another browser.
If you have switched to one of the non-AOL browsers and are still experiencing connectivity problems, you probably have spyware on your computer. Please see our tips on spyware removal here.
