The software listed on this page is intended for personal home use only. If you're an employee and you need one of the packages listed below installed on your office computer, contact the ITS Support Center for assistance.

Note: You MUST accept the Security Certificates when downloading from SVSU!

Licensed Utilities for SVSU Users

The utilities listed below have been licensed by SVSU and is distributable to registered SVSU students and full-time faculty and staff.  To download the software, authentication is required (use your SVSU User ID and Password).

  • NetDrive - free secure FTP client (for Windows XP only) to access your M: drive from off-campus, as a mapped drive letter.
  • Eraser - a secure data removal tool for Windows. It completely removes sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns.
  • Zimbra Toaster - utility to direct web send/mailto links to open your Vmail account

  • Microsoft Windows 7 - discount offer to students by Microsoft (Expires January 2010)
  • Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 - Promotional program geared at providing discounted software to eligible students at a substantial savings.
  • OpenOffice - free open-sourced suite of office applications available for multiple operating systems - Windows/Mac/Linux (compatible w/Office 2007)
  • Corel WordPerfect - $10 cost for SVSU users
