Set your preferred Tag, Quarantine and Block Scores.
The settings below are recommended settings, as they have proven to reduce the amount of spam being delivered to your Vmail account. A word of caution: Users may adjust the settings, but may inadvertently increase the flow of spam or completely block all incoming messages with improper settings. ITS recommends the Quarantine of spam, versus Tagging all incoming (which, if combined with Vmail filters may provide more user control if used properly).
Tag = 10 Quarantine = 2.5 Block = 5
• Tag score: Messages with a score above this threshold, but below the
quarantine threshold, are delivered to you with the word [BULK] added to the
subject line. Any message with a score below this setting is automatically
allowed.
• Quarantine score: Messages with a score above this threshold, but below the
block threshold, are forwarded to your quarantine mailbox. You have 7 days to
review messages in quarantine before they are removed. Messages with a score below this threshold are delivered to your email inbox.
• Block score: Messages with a score above this threshold are not delivered to
your inbox.
