Camtasia Studio is screen recording software that allows you to create professional-looking videos of your PC's screen. Use this software to demonstrate how to use a program, work through a process, or turn and existing PowerPoint presentation into a narrated video. Videos created in Camtasia Studio can be linked in VSpace or posted on your website, among other possibilities.
Currently we offer two workshops on Camtasia Studio: 1) Screencasting for Online Course Development: Beginner Camtasia which covers the basics of using the program, and 2) Screencasting for Online Course Development: Advanced Camtasia that continues with adding transitions, captions, call-outs, and using Zoom-N-Pan. Those interested in taking the advanced workshop must have completed the beginner workshop, had 1-on-1 training session with an instructor in the ITD Lab, or be proficient at a beginner's level.
