We do so by offering rewards for individual exercise minutes, as well as participation in programs and workshops focused on our three primary components of healthy living: education, prevention, and exercise.
SVSU participates in the Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIMC) a nonprofit initiative launched by the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association, and endorsed by the Surgeon General. We recognize that exercise and physical activity are important to health and treatment of disease. We encourage our campus to establish lifelong exercise and physical activity habits that can significantly improve quality of life.
