Getting Enrolled in Benefits


           New Employee Orientation - Information and Registration

The New Employee Orientation, conducted by Human Resources, provides a comprehensive introduction to employment at SVSU, including employee benefits.

New Employees should bring the following information to the session:

  • Information about family members to be included in insurance coverage (spouse/dependents), including name, Social Security Number, and date of birth
  • Beneficiary information including name, address, Social Security Number, and date of birth
  • Personal Identification for completing the I-9 Form (for a list of approved documents, click here)
  • A ballpoint pen

How to sign up for Orientation

All of the available orientation sessions are listed in the chart below. 

  1. To enroll, click on the date and time link for the session you wish to attend.  
  2. In the body of the email type your name and day time phone number.

Within 24 hours, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.

 

To schedule an orientation, please send an e-mail to hr(at)svsu.edu.  In the subject line, type "Faculty Orientation."  In the body of the e-mail, please type your name and day time phone number. 

You will be contacted to set up an orientation.
