Department of Nursing
The need for nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree and advanced practice degrees is steadily increasing and the opportunities to practice in a wide range of settings continues to expand. The B.S.N. is often necessary for administrative positions, and it is a prerequisite for admission to graduate nursing education. SVSU offers a Masters of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) for positions in education, administration, and clinical nurse leadership and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) to prepare family nurse practitioners.
