Walk-In Advising
To help pre-nursing students understand nursing program prerequisites, Nursing faculty will be conducting walk-in advising. Nursing faculty will meet with any pre-nursing students wanting walk-in advising.
Students will be best served if they review the Nursing FAQ page and attend a pre-nursing informational session prior to meeting with nursing faculty.
Winter 2012 Pre-Nursing Informational Sessions
Current SVSU Pre-Nursing Students:
Intended for students who are currently enrolled at SVSU.
Monday, January 23 - 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. - H 277 (second floor computer lab)
Tuesday, January 24 - 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. - H 277 (second floor computer lab)
Pre-Nursing Transfer Students:
Intended for students who have recently transferred to SVSU or are interested in transferring here.
Wednesday, February 22 - 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. – H 277 (second floor computer lab)
Pre-Nursing Application Students:
These sessions are meant for those students who are APPLYING THIS SEMESTER to the nursing program. Nursing faculty will review the nursing program application process and discuss what MUST be included/completed in order to submit your nursing program application.

Tuesday, February 21 - 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. - H 277 (second floor computer lab)
Nursing faculty are available for walk-in advising on the following days and times during the Winter 2012 Semester:
Mondays 1 - 3 p.m. with Dr. Sally Decker (Department Chair) - H226
Mondays 4 - 5 p.m. with Dr. Deb Wagner - H224
Tuesdays 1 - 3 p.m. with Dr. Lori House-Hewitt - H222
Wednesdays 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Beth Roe - H236
Transfer students will be best served if they have been admitted to SVSU and received their Transfer Evaluation Report from the Registrar's Office prior to meeting with a nursing faculty member. Students should bring copies of their transcripts (unofficial is acceptable) and their SVSU Transfer Evaluation Report when they meet with Nursing faculty.Questions?
