Master of Education

Mastering the challenge of education to change and improve lives

The Master of Education (MEd) program provides aspiring school leaders with a theoretical background and practical experienced in school leadership, stressing educational administration and supervision. Emphasis is on four cognate areas designed to fulfill and correspond to the National Standard of School Leaders ((ISLLC) and State Administrator Certification. The cognates are Educational Leadership, Principalship, Chief School Business Official, and Superintendency.

ACCREDITATION
The College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).  Saginaw Valley State University is approved as a teacher preparation institution by action of the Michigan State Board of Education.
