Master of Arts E-Learning

The Master of Arts E-Learning (MAEL) degree is designed for experienced educators who are interested in enhancing their professional practice through the study and application of on-line knowledge related to teaching, learning, and leadership in P-12 schools via distance education technologies.
The online format provides optimum flexibility for educators to learn exemplary educational practice in e-learning. Topics include: understanding knowledge management and the re-use of knowledge, applying universal design, developing techniques for distance education, and developing appropriate materials for on-line learning environments. (33 credits)

In state tuition rates apply to the Master of Arts E-Learning program.

PROGRAM CHARACTERISTICS

The Master of Arts E-Learning program was developed based on the standards from the International Society for Technology and Education (ISTE) and the Council for Technology Teacher Education (CTTE).

ACCREDITATION
The SVSU College of Education is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Saginaw Valley State University is fully approved as a teacher preparation institution by action of the State Board of Education.

Additionally, several programs within the College of Education meet national accreditation standards.
