Stu, a 2011 graduate with sociology and Spanish double majors and philosophy and political science minors, is one of those students who took advantage of every opportunity available to get involved at SVSU. Stu created the “Amazing Race” fundraising event for Relay for Life that was named “Program of the Year.” By the end of his freshman year, Stu had won the “rising leader” award for new students and never looked back. While at SVSU, Stu participated in a faculty-led study abroad trip on the subject of sustainable agriculture to El Salvador, did a summer internship with the Sierra Club in California, and was involved in urban agriculture work and growing food through hydroponics.
Stu has just completed his first year of law school at the University of Michigan and has recently accepted an offer with Schiff-Hardin LLP, a firm based in Chicago that employs the most revered anti-trust litigation team in the country. He will work there next summer with an opportunity to become an associate with them when he graduates.
