A
classic
story with original music by
Nancy Faber and narration by Dr. Judith Kerman, this exciting program
will
appeal to children of
all ages and is an excellent way to introduce children to the arts.

The
Snow Queen is a series
of seven short stories, specially adapted by Barbara Anderson,
portraying
the adventures of a girl and boy named Gerda and Kai, who shared a
great
friendship and were like a brother and sister. Understanding of the
story
is further enhanced by the portrayal of the story's characters by
various
members of the flute family, such as the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass
flutes, as well as the more familiar concert flute and piccolo. Schools
are encouraged to utilize the performance with their language arts
program
by having students read the story and then write to us afterwards to
tell
us what they thought of it.

Dr. Judith Kerman
is on the
faculty

Valley State University and is a well known poet and interpretive
