| Students who wish full consideration for a scholarship must submit an Application Form by Monday, April 7, 2008. You must be an admitted student to apply for scholarships. If you have not been admitted to the University, please contact the Office of Admissions at (989) 964-4200 before submitting an application. Applications from students not admitted to the University will not be processed. Applications received after April 7 will be considered if funding is available. The following scholarships are awarded by the SVSU Foundation. The scholarships are available for:
New Freshman Students
American Lebanese Community Scholarship Fund
- New admitted freshman or transfer or returning undergraduate student
- Full-time or part-time student

Bank One Endowed Scholarship
- New freshman admitted student

- Minimum 3.00 GPA
- Total scholarship funding is $2,855 but the amount of each scholarship will vary according to the financial need of the recipient
Gregory and Helayne Brown Annual Scholarship
- New freshman admitted student
- Full-time enrollment
- Resident of Saginaw County
- Minimum High School GPA of 3.50
- Financial need
- Potential contribution to the diversity of the SVSU campus
- Award: Two awards at $5,800 each
Linneaus Dorman Endowed Scholarship in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
- New freshman admitted student
- Full-time enrollment
- Minimum 3.00 GPA

Huntley Scholarship for Women in Science & Mathematics
- New freshman admitted student
- Female
- Full-time enrollment
- College of Science, Engineering & Technology major (Engineering students are ineligible)
- Education major (with goal of becoming a 9-12 grade level Mathematics or Science teacher)
- Minimum 3.00 GPA
- One page maximum essay to describe planned goals and to highlight your commitment to your education and two supporting letters from teachers, mentors or employers
- Total scholarship funding is $1,055 but the amount of each scholarship will vary
Edward B. “Ted” Morley, Jr. Memorial Endowed Athletic Scholarship
- New admitted freshman or transfer or returning undergraduate student
- Outstanding student athlete
- Current member of SVSU varsity athletic team
- Full-time enrollment
- Minimum 3.25 GPA
- At least one scholarship is to be awarded to a male and at least one scholarship is to be awarded to a female
- Scholarship is intended to be used for tuition, fees and books
- Total scholarship funding is $4,410 but the amount of each scholarship will vary
Morley Travel Scholarship
- New freshman admitted student

Claire and Toivo Myllykangas Endowed Scholarship Fund

- Preference GET-SET program graduate (if no GET-SET graduate, other Science, Engineering & Technology majors may be considered)

Bob Becker Endowed Scholarship
