Air & Waste Management Association 2010

The East Michigan Chapter, A&WMA is pleased to announce up to four $1,500 scholarships to be awarded to students studying for a career in air pollution control, hazardous waste management or another environmental area.
Criteria:

Undergraduate
Junior or Senior
Graduate pursuing a master's degree/professional program
GPA 3.0
Financial Need
Pursuing a course of study leading to a career in air pollution control, toxic and/or hazardous waste management, or another environmental area.

Covenant HealthCare Scholarships 2012
Covenant HealthCare Foundation is encouraging students to further their education by providing six $2,000 scholarships to area students.
These non-renewable scholarships are available to current high school seniors from Saginaw, Bay, Tuscola, Arenac, Huron, Sanilac, and Midland counties who will be college freshmen in the fall 2012 semester.
Applicants must have a 3.75 GPA or above (4.0 scale) and be pursuing an undergraduate degree in human medical sciences or a field directly related to the healthcare industry at an accredited college or university.

Krauss/Kolkman Memorial Scholarship 2012
Applications are now available for the Krauss/Kolkman Memorial Scholarship offered
by the Clio Cast and Crew, Inc.
Criteria
- The applicant must be accepted at a post-secondary institution with the
intention of pursuing a major or minor in performing art or in theater
technical studies, or at a recognized program for the performing arts.
Post-secondary includes undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate
studies; this is not limited to graduating high school seniors.
Amount: Qualified students are eligible for a non-renewable award of $500.
Deadline: Applications must be post marked no later than April 5, 2012 in order to be considered.
MidMichigan Medical Center (Bernard and Melissa Bailey Family Fund) 2010

The Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund is a student scholarship program administered by MidMichigan Medical Center. Scholarships are given to students in health care field on the basis of merit and established crieria as determined by an overseer committee.
Criteria:
Must be a resident or have family living in the mid-Michigan area. (Bay ,Clare, Gladwin. Isabella, Midland, Montcalm, Ogemaw, Roscommon and Saginaw county). Cumulative GPA must be a 3.0 or higher
Application Deadline:
The complete application must be received by mail and post-marked no later than February 15, 2010.

Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (MiAEYC)
Student Leadership Scholarship Award 2010

The MiAEYC Student Leadership Scholarship Award provides opportunities for education and leadership to an undergrduate student who is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in either elementary certification with the early childhood endorsement or child development. Criteria: A minimum of 60 credit hours completed by the start of the 2010 school year Cum GPA of 2.75 or higher Must be attending or registered to attend a four-year college or university in the State of Michigan, that is regionally accredited, or be enrolled in a teacher education program that is approved by the State of Michigan Must be taking classes to complete a Bachelor's Degree Must be pursuing a major or minor in one of the following: Early Childhood education, Child Development or a related field, e.g. Early Childhood Special Education, Family Studies Award Amount: one scholarship of $1,000 Deadline: The application and all enclosures must be postmarked by January 29, 2010. The Home Builders Association of Saginaw will award scholarships to students participating in a technical field of study within the building industry.
Requirements:
- Participating in a technical field of study within the building industry
- The scholarship is available to part time or full time students working
in the industry - Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

- Scholarships are awarded based on career goals, academic achievement, and
work experience and community service - Industry related fields qualifying for this scholarship include, but are not limited

Approximately 30 $1,000 scholarships are available from the Michigan Retailers Association Scholarship Program, established to benefit members and their employees.
Requirements:
- Dependent children of owners or employees of the thousands of MRA-member businesses
- Part-time employees at MRA-member businesses who are also full-time students
- Scholarships are not based on financial need
- The Program is open to high school seniors and college *undergraduates

Recreational Boating Industries Educational Foundation Scholarship 2011

The RBIEF Foundation provides scholarships and educational programs to students who will be enrolled in any accredited university or college. These scholarships are directed to persons who would like to pursue a career in the recreational boating industry, and enroll in academic fields of study which are applicable to the industry needs. The application outlines marine career paths in this field. The RBIEF Foundation has awarded $323,146 in scholarships since its inception in 1987.
Requirements:
- Anyone who is currently enrolled at an accredited college or university,
Michigan preferred. - Priority will be given to applicants who have a desire to pursue a career
in the boating industry and pursue academic fields of study

- Potential value to the boating industry
Amount of Scholarship:
Award amounts typically range from $500 to $2,500.
