The STUDENTS REINVENTING MICHIGAN CORPORATION is sponsoring an annual competition open to all undergraduate students attending Michigan universities, colleges and community colleges. Winners will receive cash prizes. The goal of the competition is to engage students in finding solutions to contemporary problems that face the Legislature and citizens of Michigan. Each year a different and challenging problem that faces our state will be chosen

Midland Area Community Foundation 2010

The Midland Area Community Foundation holds over 100 scholarships for students seeking post high school education. Each scholarship is a little different, some are based on academic performance, some on age, some on area of study as well as many other factors. Each year, the Foundation opens an application period during which students can apply for scholarships that are available. Not all scholarships are available each year, but all scholarship funds can be found at: www.midlandfoundation.org
The scholarship application period is February 1, 2010 until March 5, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
All scholarships are applied for through the Midland Area Community Foundation web site and may only be applied for during the above dates. In addition to an electronic application, the Foundation requires each applicant to submit two references and copies of transcripts. The reference forms are located on the web site. Midland County Township Officials' Association Walter J. Witte Governmental Service Scholarship 2010

The scholarship will be awarded to a Midland County Student who best demonstrates a desire to pursue a career in governmental service. Members First Credit Union Scholarship 2010-11

Criteria:
Those applying for a Members First Credit Union scholarship must meet the following guidelines and complete the application:

The applicant must be the primary owner of a Members First Credit Union account in good standing.

The applicant must be attending or have graduated from an accredited high school.

The applicant must be accepted/enrolled in an accredited institution and/or working towards their first undergraduate degree.

Written recommendations from two present or former instructors and/or employers, dated within the last five months are required.

Applicants must incude an official transcript (high school or college) or request that they are sent directly from the school(s) to the address listed on the application.

The applicant must provide an essay outlining goals, aspirations, college, and career plans.
Amount of Award: Two scholarships will be awarded at $1,000 two at $750 and three at $500.

Citizens Bank Wealth Management, N.A. 2012
Citizens Bank Wealth Management administers educational trusts in the following funds: C.K. Eddy Family Memorial Fund, Michael Jeffers Educational Fund, C.M. & A.A. Reid Educational Fund, Fritchof T. & Marian M. Sallness Fund and Anthony & Elizabeth Brenske Fund. These private trust funds have monies available for student loans at an interest rate of 3%.

The Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) is pleased to announce the Monica (Higgins) Sopha Scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements: Two (2) scholarships may be given annually. One (1) to a graduating Sanilac County high school senior who has been accepted to any accredited 4 year college, and one (1) to a student currently enrolled in one of the following: Central Michigan University, University of Michigan, Baker College, Saginaw Valley State University, Delta College or Davenport University.
- Eligible applicants must be planning to pursue a career in one of the following:
Digital Media, Health Care or Vet Tech - GPA will not be a determining factor in scholarship recipient selection, however,
financial need may be considered. - Attach two references from your instructors and, if working, your supervisor or
counselor. - Student must be able to demonstrate the desire to achieve his/her goals now and in the future.

Michigan Sugar Company Scholarships 2010

Michigan Sugar Company is proud to offer the Albert Flegenheimer Memorial Scholarship and the Phil Brimhall Memorial Scholarship to students in our sugarbeet growing areas. The scholarships are being offered to high school seniors graduating in 2010 and has completed a Michigan Sugar 4H and FFA Sugarbeet project or Youth Project.
Must be a resident of a county where sugarbeets are grown. (Arenac, Bay, Clare, Clinton, Genesee, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Ionia, Iosco, Isabella, Lapeer, Macomb, Midland, Montcalm, Ogemaw, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair and Tuscola. Must be available for personal interview in May, 2010.
