Academic Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to students based on academic merit. Students who satisfy the respective criteria will be considered upon admission to the university. The awarding of these scholarships is made by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and is subject to the availability of remaining funds.
President's Scholarship
Criteria
- Graduating high school senior
- Must maintain minimum 3.5 SVSU cumulative GPA
- Covers tuition and selective mandatory fees for four years, up to 136 credit hours
- Enrollment requirement: Full time student
- Either
- Rank first or second in graduating class & a minimum 24 ACT composite score
OR - 3.7 or higher cumulative high school GPA & a minimum 28 ACT composite score
- Rank first or second in graduating class & a minimum 24 ACT composite score

To use your President's Scholarship for the Spring/Summer semester, please complete this form and return it to our office. You must be already be a recipient of the scholarship, this is not an application.
Dean's Scholarship
Criteria
- Graduating high school senior
- Must maintain minimum 3.0 SVSU cumulative GPA
- $3,000 per year for four years
- Enrollment requirement: Full time student
- 3.0 or higher cumulative high school GPA & a minimum 24 ACT composite score
- The Application Dealine for Fall 2008 is January 4, 2008

University Foundation Scholarship
Criteria
- Graduating high school senior
- Must maintain minimum 3.0 SVSU cumulative GPA
- 3.5 or higher cumulative high school GPA & a minimum 24 ACT composite score
- Covers tuition and selective mandatory fees for four courses and $1000 to apply toward study abroad or a research project.
- Enrollment requirement: Full time student
- This scholarship program offers an enhanced educational and extra-curricular experience.

University Scholarship

- No application necessary; automatically awarded based on high school transcript
