The following scholarships are available to graduate students by SVSU academic departments. The awards are made by the respective departments based on academic merit and need (additional criteria may apply). Students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid on an early basis for consideration of these awards. In addition to the FAFSA form, a separate application is required (in most cases).

Criteria

• Returning Graduate
• Financial need
• Minimum completion of 12 credits
• Leadership/Character
• Mid-Michigan resident
• Recipient ineligible if employer has a tuition reimbursement program
• Enrollment requirement: Full time or Part time student

• Bay County Resident
• Junior or Senior
• Minimum GPA 3.00
• Financial Need

• Pre-Nursing and Nursing Student Majors

Salley Edgerton-Netke Memorial Scholarship in Early Childhood Education

Criteria

• Returning Graduate
• Part Time
• Early Childhood Education Major (ECE)
• Minimum 4.0 graduate GPA
• Letter of recommendation from ECE Faculty Member (not serving on selection committee)
• Submit application materials to demonstrate outstanding writing and scholarship
• Applications considered only during semester prior to internship/capstone year

Field Neurosciences Institute Scholarship for Neuroscience Nursing

Criteria

• Graduate
• Returning
• Full Time or Part Time
• Minimum 3.00 GPA
• Demonstrate ability or potential to contribute to field of Nursing in general
  and neuroscience nursing in particular
• Scholastic achievement
• Demonstrated dedication to and professionalism in Nursing
• Preference to candidates who have served as nurse externs or as supportive
  nursing personnel in health care settings that provide care to people with
  neurological conditions

• Registered nurse
• Preference given to registered nurses
• Nursing GR student specializing in surgical nursing
• Minimum 3.00 ACC GPA
• Demonstrated dedication/professionalism in the field of nursing
• Enrollment requirement: Full time or Part time student
