About Us

Student Learning Goals

For the Educational Leadership Program, we strive to prepare students for the demanding work of building and district level educational leadership and administration. They should have the knowledge, dispositions, and performances delineated in the Program Standards for the Preparation of School Principals (PSPSP, MDE, 2004); the Program Standards for the Preparation of Central Office Administrators (PSPCOA, MDE, 2009); and, Council for Exceptional Children Leadership Standards (CEC). The Michigan Standards (PSPSP, PSPCOA) are similar to the ELCC Standards (NPBEA, 2002). The PSPSC have been changed and the ELCC are the new standards and the programs will be going through the state review and approval process based on the new state standards.
