Diversity Survey Results
Overview
In order to understand how SVSU students and employees feel regarding campus climate with respect to diversity, a detailed survey instrument was developed. A committee comprised of two psychology faculty members, a sociology professor, and an administrator was formed to develop the diversity survey instrument.
A total of 3,042 students surveys were distributed with a 1,481 returned. A total of 963 employee surveys were distributed with 345 surveys returned. The term diversity was used in its broadest sense including, but not limited to, gender, ethnic, political, physical, sexual, and economic differences in individuals.
Please note that this is a preliminary presentation of the data collected. No recommendations will be presented.
